No More Proverbs!

I was sorting through some notebooks that I had in my purse and scraps of paper I had saved throughout the years. And though most of the entries were quite sparse, I realized that these were diaries of sorts. You see I was reading through them in order to throw them out. And I did throw some of them out but then I fished them right out of that trash can. Some of the material was too good to lose. Here is a scrap of paper from church some time back, an exchange with my son Michael.

Turn the other cheek
Wade the deep creek
Still waters run deep
Pickles are delish
A watched pot never boils
Can I have my allowance?
Thrown for a loop
Don’t stop while you’re ahead

Sweet B’jinkies! We gotta mystery!
Yabba Dabba?

That’s so trite it’s true.
Does a bear sh_t in the wood?
Don’t’ let a good thing end.
Silence is golden

No more proverbs!!

The upshot of all this? We were actually having fun in church.
